ART CAMP 2020
Hello Art Camp Families!
This year finds us all in a new circumstance. We are affected by this virus as much as you, and are sorry that we cannot have Art Camp the same as we always have. However, we have tried to pack 5 days worth of fun into each Box.
You can get 3 different boxes for $50 each. Scholarships are available. To help complete the experience, each camper will receive a 131 piece art kit to keep creating all summer, and a t-shirt. About $100 worth of stuff!
Please print the registration form (click here to download) and mail it with a check made to Creston Arts to:
Creston Arts, 116 W Adams St, Creston, IA 50801
or drop it off at 104 N Maple St in Creston.
Boxes will be picked up from our new Arts Center at 411 Adams St (Huff Bakery Building) on June 15 from 3-5 pm or by arrangement.

Q: Why do I need to fill out the Registration Form?
A: This year we will be pursuing different grants and funding. The data that you provide will remain anonymous, but will allow us show the different types and ages of people that we serve. It also allows us to assess the accessibility of programs for all people.
Q: Who can attend Creston Arts Summer Art Camp in a Box?
A: Our summer art camp is open to children entering grades 1st through 8th. Children from any school can attend.
Q: Do you have Camp Scholarships?
A: Yes! Fill out the info in the Registration Form. We will give a scholarship to everyone that needs it! Please do not hesitate to request a scholarship for multiple kids or multiple “weeks”. Contact Brian Zachary at 641-247-1663 with questions or to donate money so that another child can attend Art Camp.
Q: What do I need to supply?
A: We may ask you to supply your own toilet paper tubes, or go out and get leaves. Anything you need to provide will be spelled out in the instructions, which are packed in with everything needed for each day’s project. Art is messy. You will probably need some plastic tablecloths or an area you can clean up easily. We have tried to reduce the mess for this year. But still, don’t wear your best or favorite clothes.
Q: What if we need help?
A: You can always contact Brian 641-247-1663 and he will put you in touch with an instructor that can help you, either over the phone, or maybe through a quick zoom meeting.
Q: Is there a waitlist available for those who do not get accepted?
A: Waiting list status can be requested if art camp is full. No deposit is necessary to hold a place on the list. Parent/guardians will be notified by phone if space becomes available or further Art Camp Boxes are created.
Q: Do I need a Computer?
A: There are written instructions for each project, however each also has a demonstration video online. A computer or phone with internet service is advised.
Q: Can my camper get more than one box?
A: Yes, each camper can get 1-3 boxes of projects, but will receive only one Art Supply Kit.
